The Sault Ste. Marie International Seaplane Base (MI8) provides pilots with a place to dock their aircraft while exploring the city. Located in Rotary Park, the seaplane base is a regular stop for pilots of both the U.S. and Canada.The seaplane base was crafted in 2010 by pilots from Lake City, Michigan who frequented the area. The dock has since been donated to the city where it sees over 100 seaplane visitors each year and is regularly used as a checkpoint for customs inspections.
